The Family Fun Day for Autism Families Nairobi was more than just an Easter celebration—it was a day of joy, support, and meaningful community engagement. Held on April 12th, 2025, at Kilimani Primary School, the event brought together over 200 families raising children on the autism spectrum for a memorable day of connection, play, and access to essential services.
Phoenix Capital was proud to participate as a Gold Sponsor, contributing Ksh 50,000 to our ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Kenya. But our involvement went beyond sponsorship—this was a chance to be physically present, serve, and show up for a community that often goes unseen.

Bringing Easter Cheer Through Action
At the heart of the Family Fun Day for Autism Families Nairobi was the desire to create an inclusive space where families could relax, bond, and feel supported. Our team distributed gift hampers and giveaways, engaged with children, and shared in the festive activities.
Easter is a time of renewal, and this event was a clear reminder that small gestures can have a lasting impact. The smiles we saw and the stories we heard made it clear: presence matters.

Making Healthcare Accessible: Free Medical Assessments
One of the most impactful parts of the day was the free medical assessments offered to children with autism. These assessments—normally costing an average of Ksh 3,000 per child—were provided at no cost during the event, thanks to the collaborative effort of sponsors like Phoenix Capital. Medical assessments like these are essential for early intervention. According to CDC guidelines on developmental milestones, timely evaluations help families understand and support their child’s growth.
In total, over 90 children received assessments. For many parents, this was a much-needed opportunity to gain insights into their child’s development and health without financial strain.
Why CSR Must Be Community-Driven
Supporting the Family Fun Day for Autism Families Nairobi was aligned with our broader CSR philosophy: show up, listen, and act.
Too often, corporate involvement ends at donations. We believe in going further. That means being on the ground, understanding real needs, and building trust through consistency, not just visibility.
Building Lasting Connections Beyond the Event
The impact of the Family Fun Day didn’t end when the tents came down. For many families, the event created new bonds, fresh resources, and a renewed sense of support. Parents connected with other parents, children found safe spaces to play, and conversations were sparked that may grow into longer-term initiatives. These connections are what make events like this so powerful—they remind us that real community care is relational, not transactional. For Phoenix Capital, that’s the heart of meaningful CSR: building something that lasts beyond the event day itself.
Looking Ahead
Our involvement in the Family Fun Day for Autism Families Nairobi is one chapter in a larger story we’re writing—one where CSR in Kenya is driven by impact, not optics. We remain committed to supporting initiatives that prioritize accessibility, mental health, and family well-being across the country.
Thank you to every family, volunteer, and organiser who made this event possible. Your strength, openness, and joy made this Easter unforgettable.
From all of us at Phoenix Capital, Happy Easter—and here’s to many more days that make a difference.
